a lot of/lots of
zählbare/unzählbare Substantive

much or many

much: nicht zählbare Nomen (milk, marmalade, money, time etc.)
many: zählbare Nomen (bottles of milk, jars of marmalade, dollars, minutes etc.)

Beispiele:
How much money have you got? (Wieviel Geld hast du?)
How many dollars have you got? (Wieviele Dollars hast du?)

Diese Fragen werden in der Umgangssprache häufig mit a lot of/lots of beantwortet. Zwischen beiden Formen gibt es keinen großen Unterschied.

a little or a few

a little: nicht zählbare Nomen (milk, marmalade, money, time etc.)
a few: zählbare Nomen (bottles of milk, jars of marmalade, dollars, minutes etc.)

Beispiele:
He has a little money left. (Er hat etwas Geld übrig.)
He has a few dollars left. (Er hat einige Dollars übrig.)
