anwer to "have a nice day"

Hello,
is it VERY embarrassing to reply to a "have a nice day" a "thanks, I will!" ?
In German it isn't a problem to say "Danke. Werde ich bestimmt haben.", but I'm not sure how that is in English.
What do you think?

mit wem sprichst du denn? Mit jemanden in deinem Alter? Mit jemanden, den du nicht so gut kennst? Mit jemandem, der aelter ist? Du kannst umgangssprachlich oder formell antworten:

Formell:
Have a nice day - Thank you, I will.

Informell:
Have a nice day - Thanks, will do.

Hoeflicherweise wuenscht man seinem Gegenueber jedoch im Gegenzug auch einen schoenen Tag! Das geht auch umgangssprachlich und formell:

Formell:
Have a nice day - Thank you, I will. Have a nice day, too. ODER Thank you, I will. The same to you.

Informell:
Have a nice day - Thank you, will do, same to you. ODER Thank you, will do. You and all.


* ACHTUNG: Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob man das "you and all" (das bedeutet soviel wie "du auch/dir auch" und wird ausgesprochen wie you'n'all) ueberall in England verwendet. Hier im Nordosten sagt man es. Hierzu waere die Meinung von Delfino (wohnt im Sueden von England) und von Caro64 (Muttersprachlerin) sehr hilfreich.

Ich habe mit jemandem gesprochen, der älter ist wie ich und ich nicht so gut kenne.
Nur war ich mir im Nachhinein nicht sicher, ob man da überhaupt was darauf antwortet, oder ob das nur so eine Schlussfloskel ist.
Nun dann.
Man lernt dazu...

we say "you and all" too, but it sounds more like "younall" means "you too" has nothing really to do with "all", would be interesting to know where that actually comes from, could be slang.

maybe it's a shortened version of a much older phrase like: "Same to you and all of your kin/family/..."?!

It reminds me a little of "Good tidings we bring to you and your kin...".
