Explanation: Exploration of the wine-growing district with the circumjacent villages whose church and whose palaces/castles. For the day trip you will need 8-10 hours. Certainly you can expand the trip of two or more days. We are offer to you enough tourist attraction. This trip is mainly for tourists who are interested in viniculture and who like culure and events. You can start the exploration at the train station or at the heart of the town. A quiet number of houses are protected as historic monuments (Info sheet is available by Schloss Entenstein). Go straight ahead (if you come from station or from heart of the town) to the village well. Arrived by the village well you will see the next two finish`s: “Schloss Entenstein” (on the right side you can see a long wall and behind there is the “Schloss Entenstein” the church “St.Leodegar”(is straight to you; (church with a big tower)). At first we will go into Schloss Entenstein, today it´s a municipal administration (you get also tourist infos there). Next we go to the château park and make the educational trail, there (informations see above). After that we go into the “St.Leodegar”-church (go back to the village well, then you see it) (infomations about the church will you also find above). One necessity more is the chapel, which was restored. We find it, when we come out of the church of the right hand sight (a little building, a few yards from here (30m)). Our next stopp is the „Erste Markgräfler Winzergenossenschaft“. Go 100 m straight in the direction of the area “Sonnenstück”, and you will see a red building of the right hand sight, this is it. Here we also visit the co-operative of growers (infos see above) and can ask about a guideline.
