After his pilgrimage he said on his relationship with Nation of Islam: "I was a parrot. Now the parrot arise from the cage". He also founded the muslim Mosque Inc. In which he was able to spread his own opinion. This was a religious center for ex-Muslims. He wanted the afro-americans to participate in politics. A famous quote from Malcolm, about this topic, is: "Our politic is Islam, our philosophy is Black Nationalism".


On 07/06/1064, Malcolm X gave a speech in the Audubon Ballroom in New York. It was a speech against Elijah Muhammad.
When he gave a further speech 21/02/1965 at the Audubon Ballroom his bodyguards were distracted from 2 listeners who disputed and Malcolm was killed by 16 shots from a shotgun.
