Re: Where are you from?
Hello,
I am from Germany living in Hamm, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia.
I'm also here to improve my english skills, because I want to study "International Business", so it would be a advantage to speak a little bit English.

Anyway.. I never said where I am from . I live in Tyne and Wear, the Northeast of England.

I did get it, Loni and a warm welcome to the forum! I think it is great that you have friends in Coventry and that they actually gave you a reason to speak English. That's brilliant!ilomi hat geschrieben:Hi all users!

Re: Where are you from?
Hi everybody,
I'm Kimmi and today it's the first time that i register myself in such an english speaking forum. I like it very much to speak english but i nearly never have the chance to talk. O.k. about myself: I'm 41 years and i suppose that i belong to the elder members here. But i hope it doesn't matter!!
I live in Weinheim - that is a really little nice town near Heidelberg. We have two castles in our town and a lovely city with old houses (fachwerk?? don't know the right word). It is a really good place to live but although i like it here i always had the wish to live somewhere else. This sounds strange but perhaps it will happen at anytime in the future. Perhaps when i retire.
That is the reason why i adore people who move to another country to start something completely new. I can't imagine it for myself.
I hope someone will answer me.
Bye
Kim

Where are you from?
Hello, my name is Anna. I am 21 years old and i come from Germany, Gelsenkirchen. My english isn't very goog either and I hope it will get better in the next weeks. So I am an nurse but because of dismutivation (I really don't know wether this word exist) in this job I also go to school in the evening. There I want to do my A level. It isn't very easy because you haven't much time when you also work 40 h in the week. So in the english lessons there is no really time for speaking or reading english. I have bought a book which is called "About a boy" and when I read it in the evening hours I read it out loud. To hear my english pronouncing of the words(?).
Oh this was a big step for me now. Hope of someone who can show me my mistakes:)
