No! definetley not, I'm just soooo surprised. I pictured a man with a long grey beard, bushy nostrils and hairy ears I mean, how do you know, what I am, male? female? I only know that Keswick's a woman because she once mentioned her husband. Maybe this sort of information should show up in ones profile. I don't really like the idea of having to ask people if their male or female and it would be nice to know. I mean, I compared you with my uncle Arthur - how embarassing is that then? Sorry

Re: Where are you from?
@tanne and tiorthan,
hello there, nice to have "compatriots" around.
I grew up in a village about 50 kilometres to the southwest (more west than south) of Bremen.
I'm not living there anymore, though. Now I'm right in the middle of Germany (geographically speaking). There are several places claiming this "honour", I haven't gone into it so far. Anyway, I'm living in one of them.
It' really nice around here, but I will always be an "Oldenburger".
Cheers

Höhöhö, lovely (handsome?) Caro!
Who says I haven't got a long grey beard etc? And especially the hairy ears ? Well, your picture is quite accurate. With some minor alterations, you would probably pick me out in any street - provided there is only me in it in the first place.
But what about your sweet self? Are you girl or boy? You haven't told us yet. I picture you as an English Rose, soft and thorny...

Re: Where are you from?
I didn't grow up here. I've spent most of my "early years" in Quedlinburg.
You're never too old to learn something stupid.

Re: Where are you from?
Oh I used to have a friend from a place near Quedlinburg. She lives in Berlin now, but comes from Ballenstedt. Do you know that place?

Re: Where are you from?
Yeah I know Ballenstedt, two of my classmates lived there and I sometimes went mountain biking there at the foot of the Gegensteine – two sandstone rocks and part of the Teufelsmauer.

Where are you from?
Oh, I'm very suprised too. I though, that Duckduck is a man! It's very interesting to communicate on the internet. One doesn't know a person, but can imagine a face, a voice etc.
By the way I like this forum!
With best wishes,
Chloe

Re: Where are you from?
Hey folks,
just took another close look and have to confirm again:
She's a lady, Ouh,ouh,ouh, She's a lady... .
Strange, isn't it that we tend to believe that a person showing more or less competence is probably male. But hey, girls (and boys), it's only a prejudice and can be changed. When I was new in this forum I used to think that Keswick was a man until she mentioned her husband.
And by the way, people do say I have a rather deep voice (and hairy ears...).
Love
