"Website" is actually more accurate, from my experiences... "webpage" refers to a single page within a website.Delfino hat geschrieben:Here is a quick correction of your post:

Thank you and btw. I'm a registered user for a few month now.Kliapatra hat geschrieben:Anyway, welcome to the board. (: Your English is still looking pretty good.
I just noticed the capitalised word "Website", which is a German noun...Kliapatra hat geschrieben:"Website" is actually more accurate, from my experiences... "webpage" refers to a single page within a website.
So my first though focused on using an English word.
Anyway, thank you for correcting me.
Is there any situation when you would recommend using the capitalised word in English?

Thank both of you, it´s really nice that you corrected my Text. I think I will have some fun in this Board. Now I know that I have to work more at my grammer.
Oh and I have a question -I swore after that I won´t nerve you more
- in wich Area could I request for pen pals ?
I am not sure and don´t want to make mistakes =)
I wish to write with people, who came from England, because
I want to know more about England traditions.

There is no specific sub-forum for pen pals and for people who are looking for pen pals. However you could post it here in the thread. There are some website out there for people trying to find people to write to but unfortunately most of them have to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Hey Keswick,
thanks that you corrected my text, too. Of course it´s o.k, it´s great that you take the time
to corrected. It´s truly awkward, that I made so much mistakes in a tiny text. But I'll try to do better.
And thanks for the Information and the warning. I will search in the Internet for serious
webpages to find people.
greetings

Hi Linda, no problem. You don't have to thank me/us for correcting your posts although a little thank you every now and again is very much appreciated . And don't worry about making mistakes. You try your best and that is all that counts. So keep on writing English and your English will improve soon!Ace hat geschrieben:Hey Keswick,

I realize that I was slightly unclear because I used the word to begin the sentence. It should be "website", with a lowercase w. The only cases in which it should be capitalized are when it's part of a title or at the beginning of a sentence, like the one that I used.I just noticed the capitalised word "Website", which is a German noun...
So my first though focused on using an English word.
Anyway, thank you for correcting me.
Is there any situation when you would recommend using the capitalised word in English?
Sorry for any confusion!
