Today we want to talk about Elvis Presley.
Elvis Aron Presley (later Aaron) was born on the 8th of January in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi.
He was a very famous singer and actor and because of his popularity he was called “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”.

His parents were Gladys Love Presley and Vernon Elvis Presley. Elvis parents were grown up together and married
On the 17th of June 1933. Gladys was pregnant in 1934 with Baby Elvis and because of this she lost her job. The Presley’s moved to Memphis in November 1948.

Memphis was the right place for Elvis because his dreams become true. He was musically influenced by the Gospel Choir, in which he had sung since his earliest years. On his 10th birthday in 1945 he got a guitar and he learned it to play by himself.

After his final exam at High school he worked as an Electrician and later then as a Truck driver. 1954 his first girlfriend was Dixie Locke. But in November 1955 they went separate ways.

In the same year Elvis was 20 years old and he gives circa 160 concerts, where he found his own Rock ‘n’ Roll style and his unique Blues voice. In November the biggest American Plate Group Radio Corporation of American bought Elvis Contracting from Sam Phillips for only 35 000 dollar.

One year later he gives 110 concerts and he sang in August the Title song for the movie “love me Tender”.
Overall he had 33 other Movies. In May the Presley’s moved in a big house, which Elvis bought by himself. The house was also in Memphis.

A few months later he bought the Farmstead “Graceland” and he sang the title song for the movie “Jailhouse Rock”. This song helped him to more Celebrity.

In December 1957 he went to the military. In the same year his Mother Gladys Presley died on the 14th of August in Memphis.
