A giant beside our house

The story „A giant beside our house“ is a first-person narrative by Ron Gullion.
It is about a man who is worry about an accident, because he had some nightmare.
He dreams that the fir in his yard is prounced into his daughter's room.
Naturally the man don't pays much attention to irreal things like drams, but these dreams gives him reason to worry.
Some time later, in the night of Christmas Eve it is carrying an explosive sound. The fir was toppled into Alisons room!
There was much debris and a lot of branches. Somewhere beneath the tree is his daughter Alison crying, „Daddy! Daddy!“
Before long comes the fire department to shear the pieces from the fir.
The man prays to God.
He believes that god will protect his daughter.
At this point Alison is ridden of the big fir. Alison is safe, only her leg is broken. It is amazing that she survive that grave accident!
Now the man is sure about God's blessing on his family.

but these dreams are the reason for his worries.

The fir was toppled into the room of his daughter Alison!
There were so many branches and a lot of debris.
Somewhere beneath all of it Alison was crying, „Daddy! Daddy!“
The man begins to pray to God.
He believes that now only God himself is able to protect his daughter.

Before long the fire department comes to saw the tree into small pieces.
A bit later Alison is rescued. She is safe now, but one of her legs is broken.
It is amazing that she survived that dangerous accident!
Now the man is sure about God's blessing on his family.
