This is my last year in Germany for chistmas and my sisters coming over from York with her (soon to be) husband and their child. Nothing interesting this year but next i think it will be my first living in Scotland not just visiting.

Have you got any plans Keswick?

I'm definitely planning to visit my family in NRW. Can't imagine Christmas without 'em

Furthermore I was looking forward to two whole weeks of holiday - just to chill out a little. Unfortunately I just got to know that I'll propably have to work a few days longer than expected. Of course it had to be me out of nearly 2000 other guys

Anyway - I hope we're finally gonna have a white Christmas this year.

@Jme: I am spending the 24th with my partner and sister at my place. Just having a nice dinner and a calm night. On the 25th we'll go to my parents-in-law for Christmas dinner. Don't know what happens then. I know my partner's grandma is going to church later on but I don't think I will join her.

Your sister lives in York? That is not too far from where I live.

Christmas is over, New Year's Eve and even January... and it is still freezing cold. I've had enough of winter, how about you?

Never, Keswick! We have lots and lots of snow here right now, and it's so much fun to play (or ski) in.

Snow would be fine, but it's just all grey and pretty cold around here. I'm starting to look forward to spring

We had some snow the other day and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. But being so close to the sea the snow melts away quite quickly. And I spend most of my time in the office anyway so I can't go out and play :| .

I am looking foward to spring too. Luckily it's not getting dark so soon in the afternoons any more.

In the other hand I have also enjoyed the wonderful snow days we have had so far this winter. In the news on BBC I saw that there's a lot of snow in Great Britain these days.

London covered in snow a few days ago. How beautiful.

Winters the best season. I love the cold and the rain, snow and the occasional thunderstorm. The best thing though, is trying to get to sleep at night knowing its cold outside and when you can here the rain pit patter on the window.

Hello Jme,
have you noticed that the world outside is sort of very quiet when it's snowing.

I think the winter was long enough and when looking at the gas prices, it's been an expensive winter so far. I mean don't get me wrong, I like the look of "winter wonderland" but I want spring now. But at least the sun ist shining although we have hard frost at night and it is really cold during the day.
