Text für ein Referat "korrigieren"? Bzw. Hilfestel

Beitrag von Sophisticated »

Hallo liebes Forum :D

Simon Beckett was born in 1968 and grew up in Sheffield (England). He is a british Journalist and an author. For the most part he writes detective stories and his book “The chemisrty of death” has been a bestseller for months. Before he became a journalist, he taught Spain and played in several bands. Since 1992 he has written for The Times, The Independent on Sunday Review, The Daily Telegraph, The Observer and other major British publications. In 2002 Simon Beckett went to the National Forensic Academy in Tennessee and visited the “Body Farm”, whereat he should write an article for the Daily Thelegraph Magazine. It´s a research facility where real human cadavres are used to resarch the process of decomposition and ways of identifying time since death. The research is also important for murder investigations. This visit inspired him to write “The Chemistry of Death”.

After a trauma (an accident, where David Hunter lost his wife and daughter) David Hunter decides to turn his back on his former life and career as an forensic anthropologist, helping the police with their cases.
Now David Hunter lives in the quiet and peaceful village Manham on the Norfolk Broads and works as a country doctor for Henry Maitland, his antecessor, who sits/is in a wheelchair. But after three years his past catches up with him. A multilated body is found close to Manham and so David is asked by the Chief Inspector Mackenzie to use his knowledge to detect the murderer. At first Dr. Hunter is in two minds, but then he assists the police and they discover that the victim is a women out of the village. Meanwhile another woman disappears and the situation gets worse. Just a few days later two other dead bodies are found. One can be identified as the second woman, but the other cadaver belonged to a young student, who visited Manham years ago. The whole village gets more and more distrustful and everybody knows that the murderer is amongst them. Ofcourse David Hunter, the incurred doctor, is one of the suspects. But no one knows about his second employment.
Despite this terrible incidence, David tries to continue his life and gets to know Jenny Hammond, a young teacher in Manham. Although he hasn´t got over the death of his wife and daughter, he cares a lot about Jenny and they fall in love with each other. But suddenly she disappears and David knows, that she is suffering in that very moment. He tries everything to find her or to find out who the committer is. And accidentally the whole crime clears up. Dr.Henry Maitland, his employer is involved. He has medicated the mentally ill gardener of the village for a long time and was fascinated by his sick behaviour. Due to the fact that he hated his wife he doesn´t even care that the gardener loves bedeveling and killing women. At the end Herny tries to kill both David and Jenny, but they survive.

Es ist ziemlich viel, aber ich wäre dankbar, wenn sich das jemand durchlesen könnte.

Simon Beckett was born in 1968 and grew up in Sheffield (England). He is a british journalist and an author of detective stories. (He mostly writes detective stories.) His book “The Chemistry of Death” has been a bestseller for months. Before he became a journalist, he taught Spanish and played in several bands. Since 1992 he has written for The Times, The Sunday Review of The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Observer and other major British publications.

In 2002 Simon Beckett went to the National Forensic Academy in Tennessee to write an article for the Daily Telegraph Magazine about the “Body Farm”. It's a research facility where real human corpses are used to observe the process of decomposition after death. This research facility provides a variety of settings to scientifically study the process. The resulting data helps to gain a better understanding of the decomposition process and is mainly used as reference data for the development of techniques to extract information such as the timing and circumstances of death from human remains. Therefore the research is very important for investigations of murder cases. This visit inspired him to write his book “The Chemistry of Death”.

Dr David Hunter decides after a traumatic accident, where he lost his wife and daughter, to turn his back on his former life and career as an forensic anthropologist, who helped the police with their cases.
Now David Hunter lives in the quiet and peaceful village Manham on the Norfolk Broads. He works as a country doctor for Henry Maitland, his wheelchair-bound antecessor. After three years his past catches up with him. A multilated body is found close to Manham. So David is asked by Chief Inspector Mackenzie to use his knowledge to find the murderer. At the beginning Dr Hunter is indecisive, but then he assists the police. They discover that the victim is a women form (outside) the village. Meanwhile another woman disappears. The situation gets worse when just a few days later two more bodies are found. One can be identified as the missing woman, but the other one is a young student, who visited Manham years ago. The whole village gets more and more distrustful and everybody knows that the murderer must be among them. Of course David Hunter, the incurred doctor, is also one of the suspects. Only very few people know
that he is helping the police with their investigation / about his second employment.

Despite these terrible incidences, David tries to continue his life. He gets to know Jenny Hammond, a young teacher in Manham. Although he hasn´t overcome his grief about the death of his wife and daughter yet, he cares a lot about Jenny. They fall in love with each other. When she suddenly disappears David immediately knows, that she is suffering. He tries everything to find her or the abductor. By accident the mysterious situation is unraveled / solved. Dr Henry Maitland, David's employer is involved. For a long time the old wheelchair-bound man has medicated the mentally ill gardener of the village. He was fascinated by his sick behaviour. Henry hated his wife so much he didn´t even care that the gardener loves killing women. At the end Herny even tries to kill both David and Jenny, but they survive.
