Hallo an alle!
Ich habe seit kurzem eine neue Stelle als Sekretärin. Mein Problem, bzw. Frage: Wie frage ich den Anrufer, auf englisch natürlich, wenn ich den Grund des Anrufs erfahren will?
"Worum geht es?" - auf englisch.
Meine Chefs möchten kein Gespräch durchgestellt bekommen, wenn ich nicht zuvor grklärt habe, was der Anrufer will. Die werden sonst ziemlich :evil:
Könnt ihr mir da ein paar Tipps für stilsichere Formulierungen geben?
Englisch am Telefon, brauche dringend eine Übersetzung

Afterwards, you can ask a few polite questions concerning typical facts.
I can not propose a so called language manner with a sure taste for style; but I mean you have to speak respectfully and neutrally. Thus, you should possibly use a lot of formal words.

Oh... Now I know what mistake I have done.das What's it about kann man nicht sagen.
Das andere stimmt. Deswegen habe ich ihr die zwei Sätze gesagt. Die sind sehr höflich und korrekt und wird auch so benutzt.
Man würde in Deutsch am Telefon auch sagen.
Würden sie mir bitte sagen, in welcher Sache sie anrufen.
