I referred to the word "ridiculous" you chose, Michael. I think that word is a bit strong.

The thing is: we should all try to get along, when it comes to governmental and spiritual attitudes and opinions. And we can only manage that (if we ever do) by starting to not use words like "ridiculous", do you know what I mean? Someone reads your post, reads that you find the theory of Jesus ridiculous and is offended. And that's not necessary.
Rather we have to agree that anybody believes in something. That is the way you get stronger and I am not accusing anyone because of his/her faith! I just don't like it if people obtrude their faith on others even if they don't want it.
is absolutely okay and I do agree with it. It's just tiny bits that could make living on this planet a little easier. :)

Okay, okay, you're right! I totally understand it.

I don't want to cause any trouble, that's for sure. I'd like it if I can get along with everybody here as mentioned in my Introduction!

Maybe it's my missing knowledge about many English words. And I am sorry, if I have offended somebody. :(

To summ up I think it's best to say that I just don't agree with what the Bible tells us. Is that agreeable with you?

Regards
Michael

No, I don't believe in God. However, I don't think that there is any point in discussing his existence since there is no evidence of or against him.

Thus, I think everybody should keep the religion to themselves and be tolerant towards people of different belief.

@Michael: Well you certainly did not offend me. So don't worry. I just wanted to mention that the use of some words can bring you into trouble :) .

Well I think the bible definitely needs an update if you know what I mean :wink: .

Good evening!

@Keswick:
I am glad I didn't offend you. And I certainly know that words like these can bring me into very serious trouble. Thanks so far.

Why does it need an update? People believe in it anyway ;)

Regards

They do believe in it. That is true. I have read the bible a couple of times (I read the whole book once, the other times I read excerpts) and I think the basic idea of the book is alright but it is not suitable for modern times.
