Is there anybody from Cornwall ?

Beitrag von Chivo »

Hi

a few weeks ago I had an English course about 6 weeks and our teacher said "perhaps you can find somebody from Cornwall because they speak very clearly English. It is the best opportunity for beginner to learn the language".

And now I aks you...!

It will be nice when you are a woman and in the age between 30 - 35 years.

If you the person I search please write me :D

Bye
Bianca

That is an odd thing to say. I wonder why she thinks that. Actually I think most Germans would find understanding Cornish dialect quite hard, as it is similar to my own (Devonian), but luckily for you guys not very many people speak in dialect in the south-west anymore. So I suppose most people in Cornwall speak English failry similar to the general southern-England accent, so there isn't much point in restricting yourself to Cornwall. Furthermore Cornwall also has its own language, which is completly different to English but there are only about 6000 people who can speak it.
That's right Liiiinndaaaa, the umpa lumpa
