Go Carolina

Beitrag von raincat »

Hi, all :)

Started a high level English training last Thursday. Our teacher is a young nice and funny American lady and I've really had a blast.

In the beginning we read a little story titled "Go Carolina" about a lisping boy and his experiences with speech trainers. Our teacher tried to explain the meaning of the title "Go Carolina" but I didn't get it. Could anybody help me, please?

Thanks a lot ...

I guess it can have two meanings:

"Do it, Carolina" or something...

or

"going to carolina" meaning the place

I think it might mean,"Hurray Carolina!" but, it might not. Plus, you'd have to know whether they are talking about a person named Carolina, or the state of Carolina. But I think it's a cheer for a person/state named carolina.

Thanks for your quick response, Froop and Rino. :)

I think I got it. Seems to refer to a tournament between two Football teams, one of it from Carolina. I've overlooked it by reading this story the first time.
