Manu was founded in 1878. In this time the team was called Newton Health. This soccerteam had green-gold Trikots.
Ok, now more about the story.
It follow mastertitles, finals and wins in the Manchester Cup. Manu lost in 1890 in the FA Cup with a 6:1 result. They lost
in the first round but it was the first time that they played in the FA Cup. The endposition in the saison was rank 8.
Newton Health reached in the next saison place 2 in the endresults.
In 1891 they get a new stadtium in the Bank Street, Clayton and in 1896 they changed her teamname in Manchester United but many people say Manu.
The first successes from the richest soccerclub of the world was a good result at the FA-Cup 1908 and at the Mastertitle-Cup in 1909.
In 1910 Manu got a new homestadtium. The 'old Trafford'. This stadtium had place for 50.000 people. The costs were 60.000 pounds.
Manu won the Masterchip again in 1911 with 1 point over Aston Villa.
In the year 1920 they lost many times and came back to the second divison. But in 1925 they won many times and came back
to the first division. Few years later they came back in 1932 to the second division. This up and down was not good for Manu.
Without spendings from other People, Manu wouldn't be anymore here. James W. Gibson invest 22.000 pounds in the club.
In the year 1939-1944, the soccer was canceld. It was wartime. German bombers (planes) attacked with bombs the 'old trafford' stadtium.
In the first season after the war, manu won their first Masterchip but few years later in 1958 manu was not good with their perfomance.
1 year after the bad perfomance in the season, a plane is crashed.
The plane crashed from the air on the landscape. 8 proffesionall players from Manu died. They got in the end of the year place 2 in the
division. Manu was back and get place 2 in both Masterchips in year 1959 and 1964. They won as first english soccerteam the Euro-Cup.
In year 1970 they fall back to the last places but they stay in the first divison. 3 Trainer were kicked from Manu in year 1970-1973.
In year 1974 Manu go down to the second divison. Usually they came in the next year back to the first divison. In year 1980 Manu won
100 times the Manchester Derby and get place 2 behind Liverpool in the first division. In year 1986 get Manu a new trainer. His name is :
Alex Ferguson. The year 1990 was a bad year. The one and only good thing was the first place in the FA-Cup. They won this cup more than all other
teams. 5 years later they won again the european cup and 1993 was the succesfull season ever. The team won the FA- PREMIER LEAGUE.
1999 was the biggest highlight ever. In the Finalgame versus Bayern München they shoot 2 Goals in the last minute. Before they had shot 2 goals it was a 1:0
result for B.München. I didn't find a movie about the last 2 minutes from this awesome game. I'm sorry.
