Hi

I'm a student and I can't speak english very well.
But I think, that will be better, when I speak more then the last years.
This forum is a good chance for learning english. Practice creates masters.
I don't know, if this phrase is right.

Ok this was my first post, but this wasn't the last one.

Hello, I'm Andreas. I'v been new in this forum for a few days too.
A little tip to Dinah: If you're unsure with the grammar, you should often speak or write english sentences. If you understand english well, you can also look english-speaking tv-channels, for example cnn.
I'm not a teacher, but I hope these is are good tipps. Learning by doing!

This is a great tip, there are differences between speaking/writing and understanding.
I almost understanding, but when I must to speak or write, then I don't find the right words.

By reason of the relation many people knows, what the words matters.

This is my problem.

Hi Lockenlilo,
I'm new here, too.
:jo:
I always watch my DVDs one time in German and then only in English. My tipp is: Watch your DVDs in Englisch with Englisch subtitles. Because the actors often speak too quikly and not understandable for us "Beginners".
Just try it!

Hey lockenlilo!!

That's a nice name.... wondering if you actually have curls??

I'm pretty new here myself and eager to meet new people and practise my English...
My tipp is: Watch your DVDs in Englisch with Englisch subtitles. Because the actors often speak too quikly and not understandable for us "Beginners".
Couldn't agree more!!!! I started watching movies in original sound a couple of years ago and it was very difficult at the beginning, but it starts getting better and better after a while....
and if you need a quick dictionary you can open in a second window I highly recommend "LEO"... just try it...

http://dict.leo.org/

and if you wonder why I don't have as many mistakes in my spelling as you.... that's because the LEO-dictionary remains open all the time while I'm writing here.... 8)
to be honest.... I have to look up an awful lot of words.....

And hello Schmetterling!!
English is VERY hard.
ohhh yeahhhh..... I know!!!! ..... :jo:
so... if you find any mistakes in the stuff I write here or at another place in the forum ( which I'm pretty sure you will... ) ......

PLEASE feel free to correct me!!!!!

and this is adressed to everybody here... please feel free to tell me if you find mistakes in my sentences...

My THANKS in advance!!!!

bye bye

My own secret for english understanding and learning is watching films in english!
Basic english (primary school english) is enough to understand that sruff a lil bit! With the time comes the understanding, that means if you watch films allways in english u improve your understanding and speaking (cause of the right discussion)
In fact I can`t speak english like an america... but i hope that i can improve my english here and where ever i am!
I cant right good, but i just wanna improve my english speaking!!!
