Meine erste Antwort ist hinsichtlich der Nr. 9 etwas irreführend.

Bei einem vorübergehenden Aussehen (temporary appearance) kann man beide Formen nehmen, nicht aber bei etwas dauerhaftem. Man würde nomalerweise sagen "She looks good." Die Sache mit dem Photo ist m. E. auslegungsfähig. Wenn die Person sonst eher nicht gut aussieht, würde ich zum Progressive tendieren, im anderen Fall....? Bin etwas unsicher. In manchen Grammatiken wird look immer als statisch dargestellt und damit wäre progressive nicht möglich.

vielen dank für Deine rasche und kompetente Antwort. Zum besseren Verständnis, auf dem Foto (09) sieht man ein niedliches Baby und darauf wollte ich eingehen. Das Baby sieht ja immer niedlich und süß aus und dies wird mit "looks good" ausgedrückt. Wäre es die Schwiegermutter oder so würde man sagen "today she is looking friendly" - oder ?

Yes, in this case you would not use progressive and when in doubt do not use the progressive either (to be on the safe side).

I'm pretty sure you're right.

I guess Michael Swan's "Practical English Usage" backs me up on this. His example for "temporary appearance":
"You look/you're looking very unhappy. What's the matter?"
