Great Britain lost 1781 its most important colonies in America and must quick to begin new as colonial power. It had already some colonies in India ago above all on shore, but now GB spread about all India. India was beside Australia and Africa most important colony of GB. India was even called crown jewel of England because of its high population, its resources and because it served as huge business market.

GB verlor 1781 seine wichtigsten Kolonien in Amerika und musste so als Kolonialmacht schnell neu anfangen. Es hatte vorher schon einige Kolonien in Indien, vorallem an der Küste, aber jetzt bereitete GB sich über ganz Indien aus. Neben Australien und Afrika war Indien ihre wichtigste Kolonie. Indien wurde sogar als Englands Kronjuwel bezeichnet aufgrund seiner hohen Bevölkerung, seiner Rohstoffe und weil es als riesiger Absatzmarkt diente.

Das ist der erste Abschnitt von meiner Präsentation. Ich würde mich auch sehr freuen, wenn ihr die restlichen Abschnitten korrigieren. (Ich gebe hier nicht einmal auf alles, sondern Stück für Stück)

What did the British want in India?
GB was a big power and affected the Indish politic, community and culture, because India had lots of resources. The colonial produce e.g. indigo, coffee, cotton, tea and opium were produced by Indians and delivered with the most high prices to GB.

Was wollten die Briten in Indien?
GB war eine Großmacht und bestimmte die indische Politik, Gesellschaft und Kultur, da Indien sehr viele Resourcen hatte.
Die Kolonialwaren, z.B. Indigo, Kaffee, Baumwolle, Tee und Opium wurden von Inder produziert und nach GB mit den höchsten Preisen ausgeliefert.
