Wie bildet man das Simple Past?

Das Simple Past wird gebildet:

  • regelmäßige Verben → Infinitiv + -ed
  • unregelmäßige Verben → 2. Spalte der Tabelle der unregelmäßigen Verben

1. Bejahte Sätze im Simple Past – regelmäßige Verben

  • I played with a ball.
  • You played with a ball.
  • He played with a ball.
  • She played with a ball.
  • It played with a ball.
  • We played with a ball.
  • You played with a ball.
  • They played with a ball.

2. Bejahte Sätze im Simple Past – unregelmäßige Verben

  • I went home.
  • You went home.
  • He went home.
  • She went home.
  • It went home.
  • We went home.
  • You went home.
  • They went home.

► Es wird in allen Formen Infinitiv + ed oder die 2. Spalte der unregelmäßigen Verben verwendet (auch bei he, she oder it).

3. Verneinte Sätze im Simple Past – regelmäßige Verben

Da du im Englischen ein Vollverb nicht direkt verneinen kannst (außer ein paar besondere Verben, wie z.B. to be), steht im Simple Past das Hilfsverb did (das ist die Simple Past Form von do) und der Infinitiv des Verbs.

  • I did not play with a ball.
  • You did not play with a ball.
  • He did not play with a ball.
  • She did not play with a ball.
  • It did not play with a ball.
  • We did not play with a ball.
  • You did not play with a ball.
  • They did not play with a ball.

4. Verneinte Sätze im Simple Past – unregelmäßige Verben

  • I did not go home.
  • You did not go home.
  • He did not go home.
  • She did not go home.
  • It did not go home.
  • We did not go home.
  • You did not go home.
  • They did not go home.

► Es wird in allen Formen did + not + Infinitiv verwendet (auch bei he, she oder it).
