Information on data transfer to the USA

Our website uses, in particular, tools from companies based in the USA. When these tools are active, your personal information may be transferred to the US servers of these companies. Registration on this website (Forum)

You can register on our website in order to access additional functions offered here. The input data will only be used for the purpose of using the respective site or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject your registration.

Attention: Minors under the age of 16 are only allowed to register with the consent of their parents or their legal guardian.

We store the IP addresses of those users who register in our forum. Since we do not check postings in our forum before they go live, we need this information to be able to pursue action for illegal content.

Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, by browsing “Englisch Forum - Englisch lernen und üben” will cause the phpBB software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer’s web browser temporary files. The first two cookies just contain a user identifier (hereinafter “user-id”) and an anonymous session identifier (hereinafter “session-id”), automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within “Englisch Forum - Englisch lernen und üben” and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience.

Our website uses the analysis service etracker. The provider of this service is the etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. It makes it possible to generate a user profile under a pseudonym based on the data. Etracker doesn't use cookies on our website. Data collected with the etracker technologies shall not be used in the absence of a separate declaration of consent given by the data subject to personally identify users of our website and shall not be merged with personal data about the holder of the pseudonym.

The collection of this data is based per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.

You may object to the collection and archiving of data at any time, which shall affect all future transactions. To object to any collection and storage of data with future effect, click on the following button. This will result in the placement of an opt out cookie under the name "_et_oi_v2" by etracker. In the future, this will have the effect that visitor data from your browser will no longer be collected and archived for this domain by etracker. Execution of a contract data processing agreement

We have entered into a contract data processing agreement with etracker and implement the strict provisions of the German data protection agencies when it comes to the use of etracker to their fullest extent.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use „Google reCAPTCHA“ (hereinafter referred to as „reCAPTCHA“) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to determine whether data entered on this website (e.g. information entered into a contact form) is being provided by a human user or by an automated program. To determine this, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitors based on a variety of parameters. This analysis is triggered automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the site. For this analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates a variety of data (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor spent on the site or cursor movements initiated by the user). The data tracked during such analyses are forwarded to Google.

reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not alerted that an analysis is underway.

The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. It is in the website operators legitimate interest, to protect the operator’s web content against misuse by automated industrial espionage systems and against SPAM.

Usage-based online advertising with third-party providers

In order to be able to provide advertising that is relevant and tailored to your interests, an attempt is made to derive conclusions about current interests based on website visits and surfing behavior.
