Who is able to answer this question in a few sentences?

Beitrag von Klaudi »

Hello:)

I need an answer to this question:

Do you think sports in your country have been influenced by sports from abroad? Why? Why not?

I would be really grateful if you could answer this as soon as possible.

Greetings,
Klaudia

Hi Klaudia! :)

Duckduck

Dear Manfred,

I heartily agree :jo: (because you're a wise man :chief: ) - though I can't really understand what you're trying to say?!
Is it a translation of a German saying I don't know?

Please tell me!

Dear Duckduck.
Im not so sure wether I am really a wise man.
Not every old man is a wise man as well.

But...

Its a German saying indeed.
It means taking advantage of somebody.

Is it perhaps the same sentiment as the English saying "There's a sucker born every minute."?
Mind your speech a little lest you should mar your fortunes. - William Shakespeare

Its not quite the same, dear Pennsylvanian.
If you have an unplaesant work to und you don't feel like doing it than you are looking for a fool who does it.
As every morning a lot of fools get out of theyr beds you surly will find one.

weeil: surly = mürrisch / grießgrämig..? Ist das eine passende Übersetzung dafür? ;)

Hi Panic.
