Haha, nice one, joy! Here's a little information about the meaning of the word in English andjoy hat geschrieben:I like Englisch words which make me laugh when I hear them for the first time. Haberdashery is one of them.
But the German translation "Kurzwaren" made me laugh, too. What a German word! Does it mean "sewing kit" only or does it also stand for other little (short?) things? Such as: - oh, now I have no idea of other little things - it's early in the morning, you now, and I haven't had my coffee yet.
Have a nice day!
For some reason or other I thought "Kurzwaren" stood for "undies", but here you are, I was wrong.
Thanks for making me learn something new again!
