Well it does to me but that's definetly not a bad thing. I personally find old fashioned/ancient words very poetical :freu: .

Caro, who hopes she hath answered thy question

Hahahahahahaha!

Now I'm not only old fashioned...I'm ancient, ey?

Getting better and better! :P

But I've checked it myself and found out that "whom" isn't widely used in this context because - as I said before - you lot use the contact clause in cases like these. And right you are!!!

Hugs and kisses, luv :prost:

Ok, since I cannot find any recent linguistic map that'd show the use of "whom" I started asking three of my English speaking friends. Two of them use "whom" in formal writing but virtually never otherwise. Both find it kind of mildly old-fashioned or curiously odd. The third uses "whom" in everyday conversations but usually pronounces it "who" if unstressed in front of consonants.

That's getting more an more interesting for me. May I ask you, caro, where you are from?
You're never too old to learn something stupid.
MistakeSuggestionYou sure that's right?
