ich muss nächste woche ein Referat in Englisch über Roadtrains in Australien halten und bin mir mit dem text noch nicht so sicher. Ich wollte mal fragen ob sich jemand den text durchlesen und die fehler korrigieren könnte.

ich will damit sagen: diese mehrgliedrigen, überlangen kombinationen aus einen motorwagen mit aufbauten oder (nur) motorwagen in verbindung mit mehreren Anhängern und/oder Sattelaufliegern.

also es gibt ja LKW´s mit so nem "container" hinten drauf und es gibt welche da is NUR der LKW.. .. das wollt ich damit sagen

kann ich auch tractor unit sagen? also: ... on a tractor unit... <- muss das "a" dann zum "an" werden?

Hallo SR16,

ich habe eben mal nachgeguckt und gesehen, dass Dein Text der Versuch einer Übersetzung des deutschen Eintrags bei Wikipedia ist, nicht?

Das ist nicht gut und zwar aus zwei Gründen:
1. Du solltest immer Quellen angeben, aber ich weiß ja nicht, wofür Du den Text brauchst.
2. Du verwendest ein viel zu kompliziertes Vokabular und erklärst gar nicht, was damit gemeint ist. Im Englischen würdest Du nie eine solche Aneinanderreihung von Begriffen finden, die kein "normaler" Mensch kennt und verwendet. Erkläre einfach (ruhig in mehreren kürzeren und beschreibenden Sätzen), was Du meinst, suche keine Fachbegriffe. Außerdem hat der Satz oben gar kein Prädikat!
Sollte es aber ein Fachtext sein und Du sollst Fachbegriffe verwenden, dann schau mal hier nach: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_train .
