my name is Patrick and I'm seventeen years old.
I'm come from Hamburg and I attend the secondary modern school in Hamburg Bergedorf.
I'll take my oral / written English exam on Wednesday and I feel very nervous.
I will have to write a text about the ... awards and the comeback of Johnny Cash.
I will have to do it without additional aids.
Do you have any ideas how I shouldtoprepare this task?
My English is not so good.
- research the possible topics using English sources
- make some notes in English (use a dictionary)
- learn these facts and some useful expressions by heart
- review English tenses http://www.englisch-hilfen.de/inhalt_grammar.htm
- keep an eye on your spelling (use capital letters, ...)
- use short sentences
- eating good food and enough sleep will also help you to perform well
Good luck!

@Delfino,
Du hast eine Kleinigkeit übersehen:
I come from Hamburg...
@Funkii
I still don't get it, is it an oral exam or a written exam? And why don't you just write a text about Johnny Cash's comeback, post it and learn the corrected version by heart?
Ok, it's a little late for that now. But maybe you should have thought about it a little earlier? Next time then?
Good luck says

Re: Hey :) Greetings from Hamburg
Soo ich habe dann mal angefangen...:
"So now i want to tell you something about the awards which Johnny Cash got in his whole life. His first award was the Country Music Association Award in the year 1968 with the album "Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison". In the years 1968 and 1969 he got the CMA six times. In 1968 he got the Grammy for the first timme too....."

Re: Hey :) Greetings from Hamburg
Ich hab zwar um 11:30 Prüfung aber hier mein Ergebnis
Johnny Cash
Awards
Now I want to tell you something about the awards which Johnny Cash got in his career.
Over the course of his career, he received 11 Grammy awards. The first one in 1968 for the best country & western performance. In Year 1968 he received also the “CMA” Country Music Association Award. He got this award nine times. In the year 1980 Johnny Cash got the biggest distinction for an country-musician. He was incorporated in the Country-Music-Hall-Of-Fame and he was with 48 years the youngest lively actor who got this honor.
In 1987 Johnny Cash received three multi-platinum records for previous sales of over two million copies each of Folsom Prison, San Quentin and his collection of Greatist Hits. The Country-Music-Hall-Of-Fame wasn’t the only HoF which Cash is incorporated. He is also in the RockandRoll and the Songwriter Hall of Fame.
The Comeback.
Now I tell you something about the furious Comeback from Johnny Cast.
After his major label resigned him in the year 1994 Rick Rubin actually Hip-Hop and Metall producer provided Johnny Cash an label record.
At this time Johnny Cash was valid as an icon for a many young rock-musicians.
Johnny Cash and Rick Rubin did a lot of experiments in Rubin’s living-room and record an demo-tape.
Cash worked together with many different bands to find the new “Cash-Sound”. But in the End he already worked alone.
The new album “American Recordings” was opened with the song “Delia’s Gone”, a ballad about an murderer. Probably the gloomiest song in his career. Including the video, which was broadcasted by MTV, he received the attention from the younger audience. One another highlight of the new album was “Bird on a wire” which was original written by Lennard Cohan, With the last four albums Johnny Cash got recognition worldwide also by people who doesn’t liked Country-Music. Now seven years after his dead a new album will release at the 26th of February 2010 the name is “American VI: Ain’t no grave”. This is the last title in the American Recordings series.
