The German picture for the movie “Fast Food Nation” is lucid. On the top are two normal burgers with meat and salat in burger bread rolls. In the middle of the picture is a sweet baby.You could see the back of these baby. It is wear a nappy with the American flag on it. The baby stretches his arms up in the air to the two burgers. Right and left beside the baby are the names of the main artists.
Under the baby is written as a kind of stamp “Fast Food Nation” and the underheadline “Die Wahrheit ist schwer zu verdauen” Under these are pictures of the artist in their role in these film.

The German poster for the movie “Fast Food Nation” ,”Die Wahrheit ist schwer zu verdauen” is comprehensible. The baby stretches his arms up in the air to the two burgers and wear nappy with a American flag on it. These flag is a sign for the United States of America. Because of this, this baby is a American baby. Everybody know that the American like to eat fast food. This poster is a kind of hyperbol with the statement that all American even the babies like eat fast food. It could be, that the baby would be crushed by the fallen burgers, too.

The relation between visual and textual elements of the poster is not complicated.
On the poster are more visual than textual elements, because the pictures are big.
It is normal that the relation is like this by movieposters.Visual elements have more validity than textual elements. The textual elements support the visual elements and reverse. The relation between visual and textual elements is additional and a good komposition.

Right and left beside the baby you can find the names of the main characters. Below the baby there is a stamp that says “Fast Food Nation” and the subheading “The truth is hard to swallow”. Below the stamp there are pictures of the actors and actresses playing their role for this film.

This poster is a kind of hyperbole with the statement that the best thing to do for all Americans, even for the babies, would be eating fast food. The baby gives the impression as if he was even addicted to these burgers.

4.What do you think about the beginning of the film?
In the beginning of the film “fast food nation” is shown a mickeys fast food restaurant with all their
guests. From the little guests to the old guests. There sit all with eachother.It is the real view to
the nation which eat a lot of fast food.In this beginning is shown the Mickeys restaurant in the
united states of america.
On the one hand this beginning is good and interesting, because there is shown the problem of the
American way of eating and the comsumption craze in the united states of america.
On the other hand this is not only in America so, but also in other countries so. In this way the
beginning of the film is a little bit exagerrated. It should not only shown Mickeys, but also other
fast food restaurants, too.

5.The film shows wide and narrow areas. Which impress you most?
The narrow areas impress us most because in these areas are shown lots of distasteful scenes.
At first the scene with the burger in the beginning, then the scene where the man is get in the
maschine. The other scenes are more meaningful then the narrow scenes, but not so distasteful.
In the narrow scenes are shown the most important things to understand the problematic in these
fast food restaurants.

In the beginning of the film “Fast Food Nation" a Mickeys fast food restaurant with a
focus on the broad range of young and old customers is shown. They all sit there with each other.
It is a view on the daily reality of a nation which eats a lot of fast food.
This Mickeys restaurant shown in the beginning is one of many in the United States of America.
On the one hand this beginning is good and interesting, because it shows the problem of the
American way of eating and the crazy consumption in the United States of America.
On the other hand this problem is not limited to America only. So,
similar habits can be observed in other countries too. Therefore the
beginning of the film is a little bit exaggerated. It should not only show Mickeys in the USA,
but other fast food restaurants in other countries too.

5.The film shows wide and narrow areas. Which impress you most?
The narrow areas impressed me most because in these areas a lot of distasteful scenes are shown.
In the beginning one sees a scene with the burger, then the scene where the man gets in the machine.
The other scenes are more meaningful then the narrow scenes, but not so distasteful.
In the narrow scenes the most important things are shown to allow an understanding of the problems
caused by these fast food restaurants.
