You should listen carefully and regularly to good British English. (e.g. BBC Online)
I guess you need it for school ==> so focus on BE for now.
Keep talking and kindly request corrections from your chat partners,
which should not speak any kind of slang. Your requests may need to be repeated.
Reading English news and books of your favorite genre can help you to increase your vocabulary.
Write English reports about the things you've read and talked about in your diary.
After some time you'll start or can try to think in English.
Be patient!
Don't you remember how long you needed to speak German fluently?
It'll take quite some time until you feel more capable,
but these methods work and it can be fun too.
