Ich bitte um Korrektur dieser Zusammenfassung

Hallo,

ich bin Student an einer Fachhochschule und werde in 2 Stunden einen Vortrag über Wasserstoff als mündliche Prüfung halten. Für mein Handout habe ich eine Zusammenfassung geschrieben und da ich bis jetzt niemanden gfunden habe, der mir diesen Text zuverlässig korrigieren konnte, versuche ich es jetzt hier. Ich bitte um Eure Hilfe und bedanke mich schonmal.


Summary

At the moment mankind is totally dependent on fossil fuels because 88 percent of our needed energy is produced from them. But the fossil fuels are very limited and especially oil, which is the drive of the worldwide economy, is predicted to be used up in 40 – 60 years. On top of this the global energy consumption will even grow by 50 percent till 2030. Main reasons are a growing world population and increasing living standards especially in developing countries. To avoid a future energetic crisis it is needed to replace the fossil fuels by alternative energy carriers using renewable sources. Hydrogen could solve this problem and brings along some great advantages. It is available in large amounts as chemical compounds all over the world, easy to extract and environment-friendly. The burning of fossil fuels releases green house gases which are responsible for the global warming. Hydrogen combusts with nearly no emissions and forms only water.
In a so-called hydrogen economy it could be the most important energy carrier beside the electrical current. Maybe the electricity grid will be replaced by a pipeline network and the energy is delivered as hydrogen to the customer instead of electrical current. We would produce heat and electricity by our own with fuel cells.
The electrolysis of water and the steam reforming of biomass will be the most important production techniques in the future. The electrolysis uses electrical energy to separate water into its components hydrogen and oxygen. If electricity from wind and solar power is used, this method has the big disadvantage that it is at the moment and probably in future the most expensive way to produce hydrogen. One of the already cheapest techniques is the steam reforming of biomass. Only for this reason grown plants, biodegradable waste or liquid manure are decomposed at high temperatures into substances which are then converted with steam into a gas mixture with a high percentage of hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide can be set free without polluting the environment because newly growing plants will absorb it again and after the next steam reforming again. This would be a kind of carbon cycle. If the carbon dioxide is filtered and stored in the ground the atmosphere would even be cleaned. This way is only possible where a lot of biomass can be grown and could negatively affect the production of food products.
The great disadvantage of hydrogen is the low energy content concerning the volume. Four liters fluid oxygen contain the same energy as one liter petrol. As gas the density is even 800 times lower and with it the energy density, too. To store enough energy in a minimum of space especially in cars it is needed to compress the hydrogen or to cool it down to -253°C where it gets liquid. In use are pressure tanks with a pressure of up to 700 bar and vacuum isolated storages. Another very expensive and heavy technique are metal hydride storages using special metal alloys which store hydrogen atoms in their lattice.
Hydrogen can be used to produce electricity with fuel cells at home, in cars to run an electromotor or even in mobile electrical devices like mobile phones. On top of this it can be burned to produce heat or used to run traditional combustion motors or turbines of planes.

Ich weiss, du bist jetzt derjenige der es abbekommt, aber wenn jemand kommt mit Aussagen wie morgen, nachher oder in deinem Fall in 2 Stunden, kann ich nur immer wieder den Kopf schuetteln. Meint ihr wir sind den ganzen Tag hier und tun sonst nichts anderes? Dein Vortrag bedurfte einiger Zeit der Vorbereitung und da hast du allen Ernstes niemanden gefunden, der dir dein Werk Korrektur liest bzw. auf die Idee gekommen es hier frueher einzustellen bist du auch nicht gekommen?

Also bitte tu mir den Gefallen (und nicht nur du) und gib uns hier ein bisschen mehr Zeit.

Ich schäme mich ja auch etwas. An dem Vortrag selbst arbeite ich schon seit 4 Wochen und der ist auch in Sack und Tüten. Nur diese Zusammenfassung habe ich erst am Wochenende gemacht und leider meine Englisch-Dozentin bis jetzt nicht angetroffen, obwohl sie in der FH sein muss.

Schaemen musst du dich nicht, Oliver, bei dir war ja auch der Text okay. Aber man stolpert hier oft ueber Anfragen, die am besten gestern korrigiert sein sollen und manchmal weiss man nicht, wo man anfangen soll. Bei den Rechtschreibfehlern (wofuer gibt es denn Woerterbuecher), der Grammatik oder oder oder.

Hauptsache, dein Vortrag laeuft bzw. lief gut .
