Hi everybody,
I´m glam, a 17 years old girl and I live in Germany. I am here to improve my English skills, because I´m not so good in English. In addition, it´s very important for me to get a better grade in Englisch, because I like this language very much. Unfortunately I don´t trust my skills enough to say something during my English lessons, because I´m often scared that the others will laugh about me. I hope that you can help me. When somebody needs some help with German I would try my best.

Hi glam!

to improve your vocabulary:
http://www.englisch-hilfen.de/words_list/vokabeln.htm

As long as you are not perfect in English grammar
you may want to use shorter sentences to prevent any mistakes with commas...

Furthermore, you should read through all the explanations (vocabulary, grammar ...) at:

http://www.englisch-hilfen.de

The forum is only a little part of the help offered on this webpage.
Take a look at all these categories:

Grammatik-Erläuterungen
Grammatik-Übungen
Vokabel-Erläuterungen
Vokabel-Übungen

Complex Tests
Tests
Prüfungen
Englisch-Texte

Referate
Arbeitsblätter ausdrucken
Schreiben
Spiele

Schüler

Wörterbücher
Wörterbücher elektronisch
Nachrichten in Englisch

You can improve your English skills by learning as much as you can
form the various sections at this webpage and from your English books.

You can't learn everything at once. Just go though all sections step by step
to fill all the wholes in your current knowledge of English and thereby
create a good foundation for further improvements.

To improve your listening skills you can watch movies (DVD's) in English.
In the beginning you can activate the English subtitles (to help you to understand more).
It will take some time until you notice an improvement - so be patient...

On BBCworld etc. and many other news channels or websites
you can regularly watch and read the news in English.

Chating is a good way to practice the English skills you already have!
(as long as you don't use slang, abbreviations or otherwise misspelled words...)

You should always take your time to check for spelling mistakes etc.
(when you write something). You may need to read through your text several times.

Ask everyone with better English skills to correct your mistakes.
Emphasise that you want to improve your spoken and written English.

I wish you success!
