Well, long story. I've been transferred by my company. Actually this is my second time and as it looks like for good.

Shouldn't have said, my knowledge, lol. Sorry, I meant to say that I'm willing to throw my two cents in.

What about you? What ya doin' in the Rhineland?

Well, I grew up in northern Germany. Therefore I don't speak the local dialect of this region.
I'm currently studying computer science here and I focus on improving and practicing my English skills.
I was thinking of living and working in Canda some day. I've been in Toronto a few years ago and I liked it.
I hope it didn't change to much over the last years or in the future... :D

I'd have no idea, never been to Toronto.

Grammar:

I'm currently studying - I don't think you need the currently.

I've been to Toronto a few years ago - I'm not sure whether this is the right tense in conjunction with a few years ago. Is it? oh dear. teh heh, that's what we are here for, right?

Afterwards I've also been to NewYork with a few friends.
In NewYork and especially in Manhattan you feel like an ant.
Everybody is very busy, and people always seem to try
to run you over. We lived in downtown Toronto too,
and although Toronto is the largest city in Canada,
living there felt quite different... and it's cheaper too :D

Exactly true! :)
I changed a few things. What do you think about it now?
