Summary England + EU

Hallo Leute,
ich lerne recht fleissig fürs Abitur in Niedersachsen und somit auch Englisch da es mein P3 fach ist.
Eigentlich schreibe ich immer nur Summaries und Essays über die Aufgaben vom STark ABiturhilfe 2007- Buch. Soweit so gut, doch leider weiss ich nie ob das gut ist was ich schreibe, wäre also nett wenn sich jemand mal das folgende durchlesen könnte, wenn nötig korrigieren und ein wenig bewerten(hoffe ich näher mich dem 2er Bereich an)

The extract "Britain and the EU" is of a speec made by Robin Cook in 2001. Robin Cook was Britain's foreign secretary in Tony Blair's first cabinet. The text is about arguments, why Britain should take part by shaping the EU.
At the beginning of the extract Cook discusses the anti-European thoughts, such as Britain should approach to NAFTA-members instead of European countries. But these ideas aren't realistic options for Britain, thus, Cook refers in the following lines to the advantages of a deepened Britain-Europe connection. Among these are the great similarities between British and European political realism and soviety and fitting interrests in trading. After that Cook denies that a membership of European Union would cause any danger to the Britih national identy. On the contrary, Cook gives some examples like Germany and France, which show off even an advantage for the members, by underwritting their national identy.
The conclusion of Cook is, that both Britain and the EU would profit by working together.
