Sag lieber from or starting anstatt as of...(In einem Text wiederum ist er ok)

Ja, aber wie gesagt, wirst du selten jemanden sowas sagen hören...Schreiben hingegen kann man es...Trotzdem würd ich es nicht tun...

I'm originally from Windhoek (Namibia)...
I've lived in Cape Town for quite a while, though...
Currently I'm living in Zurich since my nationality is actually swiss
and my native language is, therefore, german....

So...I'm looking forward to having a good time here....
