Songtext "Bandstand"

Hallo und guten Tag,
ich habe einen Song geschrieben, den ich gerne aufnehmen möchte. Der Titel "Bandstand" (Musik-Pavillon) bezieht sich auf das gleichnamige Musik-Festival. Bedenken habe ich beim Sub-Titel "(An All Night Play)", was aussagen soll, dass die ganze Nacht hindurch Musik gespielt wird. Kann ich das so ausdrücken? Für Korrekturen, Anregungen und konstruktive Kritik wäre ich sehr dankbar. Vielen Dank! Nachfolgend der Text:

Bandstand (An All Night Play)

Hear the sound all around
A jingle jangle tune
A folky crowd round the ground
Under a milky moon


     And Friday night will be all right
     And we‘ll be dancing till Saturday
     Bandstand, an all night play
     Till the morning light


Feel the beat, summer heat
Fly in space and time
Surging weed round my seat
Summertime in rhyme


     And Friday night ...

See the light, a coloured sight
Watch the guitar show
The stage is wide, the spotlights bright
Up and high aglow


     And Friday night ...

     Dancing till Saturday
     Romance, an Odyssey
     Till the morning light, till the light, morning light, till the light

Smell the gras and I guess
A mighty crowd has grown
Florel scent around my tent
The night is falling down


     And Friday night ...

Taste the dust of a sudden gust
A wet and salty air
Memories just, living in the past
Nostalgic atmosphere

Surging weed round my seat - was meinst du denn hier? Ich bin mir wegen des Wortes "surge" unsicher.

Der Text ist aber wirklich schoen! 

All Night Play geht durchaus, aber ich habe oben "gig" vorgeschlagen, einfach um dein Event von beispielsweise einem Theaterstueck zu unterscheiden. Wuerde das funktionieren? Ich habe ebenfalls "the night is coming down" vorgeschlagen. Das kommt vom "the coming of night and day" und ist einfach ein bisschen poetischer und runder als falling. Falling ist aber auch korrekt, wenn dir das lieber ist.

vielen Dank zunächst für Deine Mitteilung und Deine Hilfe.
Bei ("an all night play" würde ich es gerne belassen, weil es sich sonst nicht auf "Saturday" reimt. Da es sich um ein Hippie-Festival handelt, könnte man auch davon ausgehen, dass auf einer Bühne ein Musical wie z. B. "Hair" aufgeführt wird. Das könnte man doch als eine Art Theaterstück ("play") ansehen?
"falling down" werde ich in "coming down" ändern. 
"surging weed" soll bedeuten: wogendes Gras. Ich könnte aber auch "flowing weed" schreiben. Würde das gehen?

Absolut, in diesem Fall geht "all night play" durchaus! Was das Gras angeht, ist das wieder einmal gar nicht so einfach, denn im Englischen kommt es hier tatsaechlich auf die Laenge des Grases an (ich weiss..  ). Ist das Gras relativ lang wuerde man "waving grass" sagen, oder auch "swaying". Bei staerkerem Wind sagt man "rolling". Ich wuerde ja ganz einfach neutral als "moving" beschreiben. Auch wuerde ich "grass" sagen, statt "weed", denn weed ist Unkraut. Wuerde das passen?

Nun, es ist zweideutig gemeint. Einerseits von wogendem Gras umgeben, andererseits wird bei solchen Events auch manches "Gras" geraucht . Deshalb "weed". Ich denke, Dein Tipp "moving" ist wohl am geeignetsten. Besten Dank!

Hach das hast du mich ganz naive erwischt .. ja moving weed wuerde dann sehr gut passen, denn damit koenntest du sogar direkt das Herumreichen abdecken!
