Okay, I didn't know that yet. So many thanks again for the help, dear tiorthan.tiorthan hat geschrieben:It does make a difference but for whatever you put in parentheses to make sense it is interpreted as if it occurred at that very position.Okay, so the separation by the brackets doesn't make any difference?

Re: Greetings from a new member

At this point again something for general understanding:
Because, to my great joy, there are a few really friendly and accommodating people in this forum who respond almost regularly and extremely helpful to posts here, it is important to me that these people know that I'm always happy to answer their kind reactions as soon as I have the time. Unfortunately, I often have not too much of it, as I have already made clear elsewhere, which is why I hope that nobody will feel offended if my answers to certain comments that go in my direction sometimes drag over several weeks. In any case, I will deliberately not completely ignore an answer addressed to me, even if I should now and then first go into contributions/comments that were written by others at a later point in time. But that just means that I want to take a closer look at certain comments before I answer them, because that can help me improve my English. And for that I need a little more time and, of course, leisure too.
I hope my English wasn't too bad here and as understandable for all readers as for myself.

LG Angeli,

Don't sweat it. The point of this forum is to help people learn at their own pace and you don't have to please anyone, really.
You're never too old to learn something stupid.

Re: Greetings from a new member
I know, tiorthan, but I'm one of the most empathetic people and not as noncommittal in my way as most of the other ones you can meet online. I communicate with people who sometimes have feelings, not with technology or just a forum, and take help not for granted. I'm antiorthan hat geschrieben: you don't have to please anyone

Oh that you don't take help for granted has, I think, been shown by your past behavior. The "at your own pace" was really the main point in my answer.
