Hi,
I sometimes try to translate German from the first couple of decades of the 1900s and last couple of decades of the 1800s. I imagine that today's German words sometimes have somewhat different meanings than they had back then, so, I wonder if anyone can refer me to free online German dictionaries published between, say, 1875 and 1920?
Thank you for any comments and assistance.

Re: German dictionaries from late 1800s and early 1900s
A modern German speaker can generally understand any text from the 1800s without a dictionary and modern dictionaries still list all meanings that a word had at that time, sometimes marked as archaic.
It gets a bit more difficult with dialect though, but I don't know of any dictionary that would cover the whole range of dialects.

You're never too old to learn something stupid.
