That's from the world's most famous collection of books of fiction. This specific instance was (most likely) authored by Saulos of Tarsos who's also known as Paul the Apostle and can be found in 1 Corinthians (13:2).

I've found that when you want to know the truth about someone that someone is probably the last person you should ask.

I cannot name the person who said that, brcause I think it is an old wisdom, like:
"As you make your bed so you must lie on it"
" If you are searching for that one person that will change your life take a look into the mirror."
