I am an American in Seattle who loves languages. I found your website because I am hoping to practice my German in addition to helping German-speakers with English. Your perspective on my language is fascinating! I also study Spanish and Chinese; soon, I hope to also study Russian and Farsi. (My bookshelf is packed with language books, and some day I shall master them all.)

Is that slang to quit "any"?

1 - "Get confused" geht nicht, weil "get" den Übergang von einem Zustand in einen anderen Ausdrückt und das kann nur ein einzelnes Ereignis sein und kein allgemeiner Zustand.

2 - Es ist das gleiche wie im Deutschen:
"Do you have questions?" = "Hast du/habt ihr Fragen?"
"Do you have any questions?" = "Hast du/habt ihr irgendwelche Fragen?"
Es hat also nichts mit Slang zu tun.

Ich dachte some oder any wäre immer Pflicht...so wie "Do you want any milk?" und "Do you want milk?" wäre dann falsch?

Yes. Although I'd rather say something like "You're confusing me" and in general you should use "have got" here if you are still confused.

It's not mandatory.

I think what's most likely confusing you is that you don't quite get the real meaning of "some" and "any", and it is one of the most difficult things to explain to a German.
