Hello I can't hear the difference between v like in video and w like in whale.
I know that there is a difference but for me it just sounds the same.
What can I do?

Re: pronunciation of v and w
Germans have the tendency to say "uiwdio" instead of video. That's probably why you can't hear a difference!
Don't fret, I made the same mistake when I first came to the UK.
My husband is then taking the mickey, asking me to say the sentence
"The villainous villains fought against the vampires in the village",
which I ended up pronuncing as The uiillainous uiillains fought against the wast amount of uivampires in the uiwillage.
Generally, the W is prounced with a hint of a u in front of it, so "window" is like "uindo".
While the V is pronounced like in the German word Vase.
