Hallo Leute
Finally, at last oder doch ganz anders?
Thank you in advance!
Michael

No pet, we're hard full-time working people
Let me try to explain, though:
at last is being used after a considerable length time
Example: after 6 hours in the car , he arrived. At last!
finally is being used after a length of time that was actually longer than you anticipated
Example: after 6, rather than the expected 3 hours, in the car, he finally arrived.
Both words are very similar, hence not completely identical in use.
