Hi,
my name is Christian and I am from Austria. I'm 31 years old and I want to refresh my English skills.
At the Moment I'm reading English books, I learn vocabulary and I watch TV series and movies with subtitles.
I have been four times in the USA for vacation, but I'm always to shy to begin a longer talk with the people there. A little small talk is ok, but that's not enough for me.
I hope, I will be better next year on our next holidays.
Christian

Re: That's me
Hello,
my name is Kim. I'm new here.
At that moment I have lunch at work. Since 2 year I'm a trainee in an industrial company. So sometimes I have to speak or write in english but my english is not very good. Really, I like to speak english but for me it isn't easy.. Since a week I read an english book and today I will watch an english TV serie. Any ideas which TV series are good? Or any other idea how I can work at my english?
Kind regards

Maybe you can ask someone in your team at work to proofread everything you send out in English
on behalf of the company you work for.
You may also ask us here, but it might take a couple of days until you get a reply as we have jobs too.

Re: That's me
A few minor mistakes I found
There are so many TV series to choose from! What type of series do you watch in Germany?
I will advise you on which series that I like, when I know what you enjoy watching.
Kind regards,
The Doctor

Re: That's me
Thank you guys!
Some of my favourite TV series are Cougar Town, New Girl, and the City, Big Bang Theory and so on.
Yesterday I saw my first English film ("Dear John"). It wasn't easy to understand all but I think I unterstood the main part.
