hi
I am planing a trip to Kiev in June, so on one hand i´m searching for some references or travel advices, on the other hand i wanted to ask, if in kiev people will talk and understand English (for the important matters). On kiev.com the main language is English, but this is, i suggest, an international plattform or site.
Anyone been in Kiev reasontly?
Thank´s a lot,
cy

Re: Kiev - Speaking English?
Hi
The percentage of english-speaking people in Kiev isn't that much lower than in other european cities and capitals. But this still means that even at the most touristic spots you may encounter many people who won't be able to understand a single word when you talk to them in english. That said, you'll still find lots of people with whom you can converse in english, especially younger ones.
