ich stehe kurz vor dem mündlichen Abitur in Englisch und bei uns ist das so, dass wir eine viertelstündige Präsentation halten müssen, auf welche ein ebenfalls viertelstündiges Fachgespräch folgt. Meine Aufgabenstellung lautet wie folgt:
„Compare the social relations within the Republic of Gilead as portrayed in Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale to those of present day rural India. Put an emphasis on the role of women and their opportunities in society. Do not forget to assess the topicality of the dystopia The Handmaid’s Tale.”
Meine Lehrerin sagte mir, dass ich unbedingt auf eine gute Strukturierung der Präsentation achten solle und deshalb habe ich mich erst einmal darauf konzentriert. Meine Idee wäre jetzt diese Strukturierung:
-Overview of the structure of my presentation
-(Short summary of the book and the Republic of Gilead)
-Social relations within the Republic of Gilead (including the most important social roles in Gilead)
-“Offred” and the roles of women in Gilead
-Short overview of the circumstances in rural India
-Social relations in rural India (main focus on the role of women and their opportunities in society)
-Comparison of the social relations in the Republic of Gilead and rural India (again: main focus on the role of women)
-Definition of "Dystopia" and reasons for the Republic of Gilead being a dystopia
-present-day dystopian ideas (including: reference to India)
-Conclusion
Was haltet ihr davon? Habt ihr Verbesserungsvorschläge?
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich überhaupt etwas über das Buch selber und Gilead sagen soll am Anfang, deshalb ist Punkt 2 auch erst einmal eingeklammert.Würde das passen, oder ist das hier eher unangebracht? 
Außerdem bin ich mir unsicher, wo ich die Dystopie mit ins Spiel bringen soll. Ist es schlau, sie so wie ich ans Ende als Einzelthema zu behandeln, oder doch lieber auf die einzelnen Dinge aufzuteilen und direkt bei Gilead und Indien etwas dazu zu sagen? Ich hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen. Ich bin für jede Anregung sehr dankbar.
