Just wanna to know when should we use v-ing after 'to'. :roll:

Hi Annabellewisteria!

First things first: I think I saw you using the above before and forgot to correct it:

Either you say:

I just wanted to know ... In this case you use the Past Tense of "want", followed by a "to-infinitive", this makes the question slightly friendlier than simply saying "I just want to know ..."

or:

I just wanna know ... This is a contraction of the words "want to" that originally was only used in spoken English. Speaking fast and a little carelessly made the words sound like "wanna". This form must be followed by an infinitive without the "to", though.

The grammatical form verb + ing is called gerund in this case and is used after certain words, e.g. verbs, verbs and prepositions, adjectives and prepositions. You can learn them by heart. If you like to check the internet try looking for gerund vs infinitive.
