I agree with you, there are many differences between Austrian German and Standard German.
The problem is that many Germans take prejudices for granted!

But that's just not the truth.

Only in some parts of Austria people speak like that.
Such as Tirol and Vorarlberg.

I guess you won't believe me if I tell you that I sometimes don't understand what other Austrians from other regions say when I speak to them.

But, to be honest, I kinda like these strange words.
Ever heard of Fetznschädl, Herzkasperl or – and this is my favorite –Schneebrunza.

But I have one to ask you, Alex.
What has your question lost in this thread? I never wrote anything German which could give you a reason to make fun of Austrian German. – Please don't misunderstand me!
