Kurzreferat

Beitrag von sandy »

Wär nett, wenn da mal jemand grob drüber schauen könnte und vor allem auf grammatikalische Richtigkeit überprüft. Danke!

· In the 19th and 20th century People from Northern and Western Europe began to immigrate in the US
èThey wanted to escape the cycle of Europe`s cultural and religious violence.
è They wished to benefit from the unlimited opportunities.
· The US had difficulties to assimilate these immigrants.

· On the end of the 19th century changed the pattern of immigrants:
They came to the US because they fled, for example from pogroms or because of famines.

· There were different reasons to immigrate in the US: political freedom, growing economic prosperity, religious persecution (freedom of worship)

You can call the US as a melting pot, because different nationalities, races and religions produce a new culture or you can denote the US as a salad bowl, in which all the ingredients retain their identity.

One group of immigrants: The Hispanics

The Hispanics are immigrants speaking Spanish and maintained its own culture, language and religion. They assimilated neither culturally nor socially. Many Hispanics live in California, New York, Texas and Florida.
Although there are some bilingual schools, they are unprivileged in the field of education, housing and employement. They have little to say in American politics, but their political influence is expected to increase.

Hallo Sandy,

in deinem Kurzreferat finden sich einige Fehler, wie zum Beipiel Ausdruck und Grammatik. Da es jedoch George's Forum ist, möchte ich nicht vorgreifen. Ich denke ,er meldet sich bald. :)

Hi Sandy,
gehen wir mal satzweise vor:
Satz 1:
In the 19th and 20th centuries (Mehrzahl) people from Northern and Western Europe began to immigrate to the US.

Satz 2:
They wanted to escape from the cycle of Europeans cultural and religious violence.

Satz 3:
They wished to benefit from the unlimited opportunities. - OK

Satz 4:
The US had difficulties assimilating these immigrants.

Satz 5:
At the end of the 19th century the pattern of immigrants changed (Satzstellung beachten!):
They came to the US because they fled, for example from pogroms or because of famines.

Satz 6:
There were different reasons to immigrate in the US: political freedom, growing economic prosperity, religious persecution (freedom of worship)

Satz 7:
You can call the US a melting pot, because of the different nationalities, races and religions which produce a new culture.
You can denote the US as a salad bowl, where all the ingredients retain their identity.

Vielen Vielen Dank! DANKE!
Gruß Sandy
