Re: anyone living in Hong Kong???
Hi everyone,
I am Annabelle from Hongkong,so that is why I am here to share some feeling about living in Hongkong. I am so glad that you guys like Hongkong so much.I think we can talk about this sometimes!Hongkong is a cosmopolitan city in China which is full of energy and passion. If you are interested in nightlife,Lan kui fong will be the best place to visit and there is so popular for foreginers like you all.And if you enjoy eating different kinds of cuisine, everywhere in Hongkong are suitable for you as Hongkong known as the 'paradise of food'(also the 'paradise of shopping')
Have you ever visited Hongkong? If not yet,I am welcome for asking anything about Hongkong!I hope there are many people like my city.

Re: anyone living in Hong Kong???
Hello Annabelle,
many years ago I was not so interested in visiting Hongkong and I hadsome prejudices about the Chinese people, but in Cologne I have seen a lot of Japanese they made pictures from the cathedrale and they are very friendly and funnny. In the evening they sat in the brewhouse and took meal drunk beer and talked with each other. I worked for a big company close to Cologne and they were many Chinese persons and I spoke with them. They are friendly and pleasant but it seems to me that they are very shy and couldn't watch in the eyes from the opponent. I think I should visit Hongkong and will make a new experience about a new culture and will gather information about the living in Asia.
Best regards, kölscheklüngel

Re: anyone living in Hong Kong???
Hi kölscheklüngel,
Your observation about Chinese people are fairly true. Most of them (including me) are shy and nervous to meet with new people (not only with the foreginers) because they are not used to greet new friends with strong feeling, but if they know more about you ,they can be very nice and full of passion to you.Just give some more time to your Chinese friends, you will find out that they are comfortable to meet with. It is good for you to visit Asia as you can know more about our culture.Have you ever watched The Lonely Planet which is a TV programme provided a lot of tips about travelling?I think it can help you to plan your trip to Asia.
Regards,
Annabelle

Re: anyone living in Hong Kong???
Hi Annabelle,
no, I haven't watched The Lonely Planet yet. You could correct me writting, because my English is not so good and I am here to improving my English skills.
You could explain something about the food in Hongkong. I suppose that the food is more European as in a village close to Hongkong. If I stay in Hongkong I would eat all but a dog I wouldn't eat ever.
Bye kölscheklüngel

Hi kölscheklüngel,
It seems that you do not know much about Hongkong.Althogh there are somebody who would eat dog meat in China,Hongkong is illegal to do so! Hongkong has various food that you can have a taste, such as the traditional Chinese food dim sum, dumpling, rice cake, spring roll or French food,Italian food even Egyptian food!No matter what you want to eat,all of that you can find in Hongkong! After having a quick look at Hongkong,I am sure you will gain some more pounds and a little belly when you back to your hometown.

Annabelle

I suppose that the European food is quite different compared to the one served in Hongkong.
If I stayed in Hongkong I would try to eat everything, but I would never eat a dog.

Can you please suggest all forums you know that are used by native speakers of British English?
Regards,
Annabelle
The list contains online dictionaries only. I think some are quite useful.
We all use dictionaries to find the meaning of words or check their spelling.
The first link leads to information about English grammar which you can use as a reference.
It is important that you try to understand the principles used to created proper English sentences.
I'm sorry, but I am not aware of any forum that fits your requirement.
Most people in the UK don't look forward to learning another language.
So it will be hard to find such a forum where help is provided for free.
Some German users in this form are probably even more knowledgeable
than a common British person because they studied it and use it daily.
All the best,
Delfino
