Re: Questions about living in UK
Hi Annabelle,
In order to give you an appropriate reply I'd need to know where you want to study please. Studying/Living in London is a lot more expensive than for example in Manchester or Newcastle. So where would you like to study?
Thank you!

Re: Questions about living in UK
Generally, London is the most expensive place to live with rooms costing up to £ 1500 a month, depending on the zone you're living in. In the North you can get a room for maybe £350 to £400. Food and geenral living is more expensive in London as well. What do you want to study, if I may ask?

Re: Questions about living in UK
Hi Annabelle,
Some universities offer language courses to help you improve your level of English
during the summer or you can use a local language school to improve your skills.
Nearly all universities will ask you to provide a test result that certifies your level of English
before you are allowed to start your studies for a degree. This threshold depends on the
subject you want to study and also varies between universities.
Depending on the recognition of your high school diploma by the university of your choice
you might need to apply for a Foundation Year (FY) which is intended for academically able
international students who wish to study at a British University but do not yet have the
qualifications they need to start an undergraduate degree programme.
Good luck!
The fees can change each year and differ from one university to another.

Full-time students do not pay Council Tax unless they earn over a certain amount of money.
Employees or part-time students need to pay Council Tax - increasing the costs of living...
The standard of living also plays an important role in estimating the cost of living in the UK.
